Prior to Father's Day I sat down with Owen and asked him some questions about his daddy. Owen is only four years old and his responses to the fill-in-the-blank questions were so...Owen. He is such a little character at only 4 years old (although he will tell you that he is 5)!
My dad is 8 years old.
His hair is short and his eyes are blue.
Dad likes to wear clothes.
He loves to eat healthy stuff like oranges and meat.
He is smart because he knows a bunch of stuff about difficult stuff.
My daddy works hard at weights.
Daddy always tells me that it's not okay to hit.
It makes my daddy happy when I hug him.
If he could go on a trip, he would go in the RV, and he would take toys.
I really love it when my dad takes me for a walk.
If you could give daddy anything it would be a watch that can transform into a boat.
My favorite thing about my dad is because he is so special.
So to summarize some of Owen's responses...
Obviously Chris' healthy habits have made a significant impact on Owen considering half of his answers related to physical fitness, healthy eating habits and feeling young! That's what you get when you have a father that is an avid tri-athlete! I got a kick out of the fact that Owen made sure to balance Chris' diet by including meat and fruit.
My absolute favorite response is that Chris likes to "wear clothes"... apparently, to Owen, Chris doesn't like to be naked.
I love that Owen specified that his daddy is smart not only because he has a broad knowledge base but because he understands complex topics. Smarty pants!
Owen is our love-bug. He loves physical affection and hugs are pretty much his favorite thing in the whole world. If he's grumpy you can almost always give him a hug and his frown turns upside-down!
If you are familiar with the Teague boys, you know that they fight, wrestle, karate-chop each other nearly 90 percent of the time that they spend together. Therefore, the most common phrase in our household is "don't hit your brother" which applies to either boy.
I admit (embarrassingly), we allow our boys to watch Transformer (not the cartoon version but the one with Shia)...thus the gift that transforms into a moving object.

Happy Father's Day Chris... we love you and are so thankful that you like to wear clothes!
I seriously laughed out loud at the watch that turns into a boat...I want one of those too!!! :-)
